Kodiak Copper Corp. (TSX.V:KDK, OTCQB:KDKCF) is focused on discovering copper, the most critical metal for the energy transition and AI by exploring its projects in Canada and the USA.
Kodiak Copper was founded by Chairman Chris Taylor, the founder and CEO of Great Bear Resources which was acquired by Kinross Gold in 2022 for $1.8B. The Company is led by Claudia Tornquist (former GM at Rio Tinto) and is a member of Discovery Group. The management team has shown the ability to raise capital while protecting a tight share structure and attracting strategic investors such as Teck Resources.
The Company’s most advanced asset is the 100% owned MPD copper-gold porphyry project located in a producing mining district in the prolific Quesnel Trough in southern British Columbia, Canada. MPD is a district-scale, multi-centred porphyry project where Kodiak made a high-grade discovery, the Gate Zone. Big follow-up drill programs expanded the Gate Zone to considerable size and successfully proved multiple new kilometre-scale mineralized zones across the large, 338 km2 land package, including two further significant high-grade zones at West and Adit. With additional targets yet to be tested and new ones being generated by Kodiak’s regional work, there is a lot more potential to be unlocked at MPD. Kodiak is looking forward to continuing its responsible and disciplined approach to exploration to demonstrate the true scale and potential of the MPD project, and generate value for shareholders through discovery success.
